The domain and technology independent discipline of Business Analysis is tutored with the unified methods practiced in the industry. What are the prerequisites for being a Business Analyst?
The prerequisites for being a BA are having intermediate communication skills and intermediate knowledge of MS-Office. As a new business analyst you will be interacting with a number of people in a company, so clearly able to express yourself is key ( having an accent is not necessary ). Also you will be involved with documentation of the requirements so having some knowledge of MS-Word is necessary. Business Analyst jobs are always in demand, typically for those of you who have EAD, Green Cards and Citizens, we have seen a lot of placements in Detroit. How many weeks is this course? Why can't we finish this in 2 weeks?
The course typically lasts 3 -4 weeks, very comprehensive and very hands-on. Depending on the students/ batch comfort levels the course finishes in 3 - 4 weeks. There is so much coverage that its normally not possible to complete the course in 2 weekends. Typically we have found that conducting 4 hour classes is most productive to students, classes which are over 4 hours, the concepts are bounced and the students don't get too much value in longer sessions as the later part of the session is merely for the sake of finishing the syllabus, but totally no value for the students. Also the gap during the week allows the students to fully study and gain a strong understanding and practice what is being taught in the class.

What is the typical salary for a Business Analyst?
As a business analyst you would earn anywhere from $40 to $60 for contract & contract to hire jobs and anywhere from $70K to $110K for full time jobs depending on the location you are applying.

Do I need programming background or knowledge? Is UML another programming language?
Programming knowledge is not a requirement at all. UML, is a short for Unified Modeling Language, is not a programming language but simply an modeling tool that helps you draw models/diagrams that represent a business process.

What are the hours for the course? Why are the schedules not mentioned?
Typically we base the schedule to accomodate each participant's needs. There are times when some participants anticipate some work that comes up on a weekend, so we try to accomodate such events and we discuss a firm schedule on the first day of the class. In most times everybody's needs will be met. In most of the past batches ( weekend batch ) we have had a schedule to meet on Saturday's and Sunday's from 9am to 1pm, however there have been instances that we have met in the afternoon and sometimes on some weekdays.

What support do you provide while on a Job?
Trainer SUPPORT to the students for the first 12 months after the student starts working and gets settled down in the new work ambiance. Easily access the trainer by phone or email at anytime or any other past students working on a similar domain.

What is the difference between live lecture and online?
Online training is great for those who want to learn by being home, some of the benefits of a live lecture are also not available such as class room training, live interaction, face to face communication, group discussion and sometimes the home enviroment is not set up for learning. Also there are numerous trainers whose credibility is not verified in online sessions, we have had a student from our March 09 batch, who has shared the course content with her husband and this low life husband plagiarized 100% of the course content in a very unethical/shameless/characterless manner to make this course his own. These kind of losers /theives proclaim themselves as instructors with 12 years experience etc, so one has to be careful about the selection of an online institute. Just ask a lot of questions, ask to speak to the instructor, ask for testimonials when selecting an online institute, as there are a lot of fake instructors as the one above out there.

Our legal team carefully monitors such unethical behavior/plagiarizm (type of fraud)/content theft/intellectual property violation/content stealing/fraud/copyright violation and maintains records of such unethical practices and aggresively pursues legal action against these fake instructors/ losers/theives, the companies they are representing & also the company they are working for.

Can i become a QA after doing this course? / Should i become a BA or a QA?
As a Business Analyst you are gaining advanced knowledge that is higher than a QA, so its always easy to become a QA from a BA. Majority of the QA topics are covered in the BA session also. However without formal training, its hard for a QA to transition to becoming a BA. We recommend investing in a BA, rather than a QA.
